DAY 1 / settling in, context setting

• ARRIVAL in CHIANGMAI

• Introduction to core concepts of liveability and exclusion, the sufficiency economy and integration in Chiang Mai city by academics and policymakers

DAY 2 / from ME TO WE

• Explore migrant issues and unpack the complexity of the migrant experience with an organisation that advocates for and provides education opportunities for persons with refugee status

• Participate in a full-day exchange with students from a completely different background; end the session with a feast for the senses in a cook-off!
  

DAY 3 / RECONCILING WASTE & WANT

• Take part in a ground-up trash initiative, understanding how Chiang Mai's trash problem fits into its larger narrative of being an organic and sustainable city

• See the issue from different angles: hear from different stakeholders, such as the municipality office
  

DAY 4 / Community-based tourism

• Learn from local tourism-based social enterprise about the importance and place of Community-Based Tourism in bridging gaps between issues and communities in Chiang Mai

• Take part in workshops to experience the CBT model that leverage existing assets within the village to create value for the community and visitors alike
   

DAY 5 / INTERSECTIONS & CONNECTIONS

• Connect the concepts you have learned about in the previous days!

• Travel to a development project in the outskirts of the city that seeks to empower and upskill uplander minority tribes
  

DAY 6 / farewells 

• Have breakfast, enjoying the beauty of the nature of Chiang Mai

• Travel to the airport

• Depart for HOME
