join us as an associate facilitator!
We are looking for individuals passionate about social inclusion and empowerment to join us as associate facilitators to co-lead our flagship community building programme, the Resilience Trails. Read on to find out more about this position and register your interest with us!
What is the Resilience Trails?
Resilience Trails is Skillseed's place-based, asset-driven and community-led initiative where we partner with Allkin Singapore and engage individuals with disabilities, single mothers and other individuals from under-resourced communities to co-create and co-run community trails in their own neighborhoods.
Our purpose is to provide our Community Guides an avenue for dignified and flexible employment that is being driven by their strengths. We’ve also mindfully designed the Resilience Trails to serve as a platform that promotes the agency, voice and power of our Guides, whilst fostering, in trail participants, deeper empathy, awareness and understanding of communities’ lived experiences.
As an Associate Facilitator, you will:
Serve as the main person in charge during the trail
You will be involved in taking attendance, ensuring all participants complete pre and post trail surveys, and taking group pictures
Ensure that the trails run smoothly and punctually
You will be managing the flow of the trail and overseeing the safety of participants (don’t worry, you will be briefed on our safety protocols and measures)
Acquaint all participants with our audio tour devices
You will be expected to handle the equipment with care and ensure that all of the devices are accounted for post-trail
We will guide you on how to use the audio tour devices and troubleshoot it
Facilitate conversations and debriefing with the participants after the trail
You will be engaging participants in discussions relating to social issues to help us condense learning points from our trail
Share feedback with Skillseed in a post-trail debrief
If there were any highlights or challenges from the trail, we would love to know so that we can continue to support you and enhance our trails
What will you gain?
Ad-hoc paid facilitation opportunities
An intimate look into social inclusion, social mobility and other related social issues
Fully sponsored in-house training and coaching on facilitation
