Responsibilities

You will…

  • be our maestro storyteller, supporting our marketing and business development efforts to maintain Skillseed's presence online and offline with compelling content and engaging visuals that engage our different stakeholders.

  • also have the chance to participate and contribute to the upstream activities where all the program operations come to life!

More specifically, you will…

  • Execute Marketing Campaigns:
    Support our business development team to strategise and execute marketing efforts to potential local client partners.

  • Design and develop marketing collaterals:
    Design and develop online and offline collaterals, including but not limited to our website, presentation decks, course guidebooks, certificates, event publicity collaterals, articles on our Journal page, social media platforms and e-newsletters.

  • Management of Skillseed’s social media platforms:
    Co-manage our social media platforms including the design and running of campaigns on Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. You will also be tracking monthly insights from our social media platforms and sharing recommendations, if any.

  • Programme Development and Coordination:
    Support the implementation of Skillseed’s programmes, providing administrative, logistical and research support.

Learning Outcomes

  • Understand how to create visually appealing materials and maintain consistency in branding across different platforms

  • Gain experience in managing social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

  • Learn how to analyse monthly insights from social media platforms and derive actionable recommendations for improvement.

  • Learn how to coordinate program logistics and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth execution of socially impactful programs.

  • Analyse programmes and develop the ability to interpret data to identify areas for improvement.

  • Learn how to create and develop collaterals for different stakeholders.

  • Understand how to craft content for various communication channels, especially social media platforms and presentations.

Commitment

We are looking for full-time students from the local Institutes of Higher Learning (IHL) who can commit full-time for any of the following periods:

  • Period 1: Sep to Mar

  • Period 2: Mar to Sep

If you are available in Period 1 and 2, we are offering this internship under Youth Corps Community Internship Programme. Interns under the YCCI Programme will be required to commit to a minimum of 5-6 months.

  • Period 3: Aug to Jan

  • Period 4: Feb to Jul

If you are available in Period 3 and 4, we are offering this internship under Global Ready Talent Programme. Interns under the GRT Programme are required to commit to a minimum of 4 weeks.

Requirements

Skills & Knowledge

  1. (Good to have) Majoring in Marketing, Communications, Media Arts and Design, Event Management, or Community Development

  2. Good written and verbal communication skills in English

  3. Articulating complex ideas in a simple and compelling manner.

  4. Previous knowledge and/or experience email marketing (Mailchimp), Canva and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin)

  5. (Optional but preferred) Competent in a Second Language, written and verbal

  6. (Good to have but not essential) Familiar with Slack, Notion

Traits we’re looking for:

  1. Interest in the social sector and social issues

  2. Creativity and being able to think outside the box on how to stand out from a crowded market

  3. Possesses strong time management and organizational skills
