  • Skillseed is made up of purpose-driven learning experience designers, facilitators, as well as community and partnership practitioners. Our community extends beyond our team to our passionate volunteers, social impact partners, and participants throughout the years. We are fuelled by a common vision - a cohesive, caring society built on the bedrock of trust and deep relationships.

  • Founded in 2013, Skillseed’s core purpose is to help build a trust-driven and collaborative society, alongside our different partners. We constantly innovate by translating practical experience gained alongside our communities into operational knowledge and learning content for partnerships and citizen engagement.

  • In partnership with Allkin Singapore and Yishun Family Service @ Children’s Society, our Resilience Trails™ are a place-based, asset-driven and community-led programme is designed to foster deeper empathy, understanding and appreciation of our vulnerable communities’ lived experiences as you follow our Community Guides through their neighbourhoods.

  • Citizen Library™ is usually conducted during our social innovation workshops, where you get to engage with someone who will share their lived experiences according to the chosen theme. Think dialogues, empathy learning experiences, policy research, community engagement primers and more.

Training

  • Our training workshops focus on partnerships and engagement, social innovation, and community development, through the medium of experiential learning. They are carefully curated to include practical skills and key concepts to drive meaningful change and build trust amongst communities.

  • Our training programs are designed for public servants, corporate professionals, social sector professionals, students, educators, and community leaders who are passionate about community driven change. Through experiential learning and on the ground engagement, we equip participants with the skills to navigate real-world social challenges—whether it's building empathy, fostering leadership, or strengthening community connections.

  • We currently only conduct training for organisational client participants. That said, we do occasionally open up certain courses to the public and will announce these on our socials. 

Local Journeys

  • Our local journeys are typically conducted on weekdays, either in the morning or afternoon. Please write in to us at info@skillseed.sg to check for availability. We recommend that you write in at least a month in advance.

  • Yes, at an additional fee. Some examples of customized learning journeys we’ve conducted include customizing reflections for specific  learning objectives, integrating policy angles into our existing trails, and consultancy on developing brand new trails. The cost and time required will vary depending on the extent of customization required.

  • We are working towards having all of our local journeys being wheelchair accessible. 

    Currently, all of our Resilience Trails™ but one are wheelchair accessible.

  • Generally, our local journeys can continue rain or shine and we remind all participants to bring rain gear for our trails. Please refer to our cancellation policy here for further details.

Overseas Courses

  • Unfortunately, we do not provide travel insurance as the insurance service providers would be able to furnish the best rates.We encourage all participants to purchase sufficient travel insurance ahead of any trips with us.

  • No, Skillseed does not purchase flight tickets. Schools and organisations are advised to work with travel agencies that can offer significant cost savings.

  • Skillseed will make reasonable efforts to minimise itinerary changes, but in cases of war, civil disorder, weather conditions, or airline schedule changes, we may substitute arrangements of similar standards. Additional charges may apply for alternative arrangements.
