Video Editing Ninja

Roles and responsibilities as a volunteer

You will work closely with the team to:

  • Create trip videos, using available clips, of our Skillseed journeys- highlighting the key elements of Skillseed's philosophy

  • Create publicity / teaser videos to showcase our Skillseed walkshops / training programmes

  • Practice your videography skills (if you would like to! ) during Skillseed events

  • Transfer skills (e.g. basic video editing ) to the Skillseed team and potentially our participants

What's in it for me?

  • Hone your videography and video editing skills and let your creative juices flow while creating a portfolio for yourself

  • Gain experience teaching others your video editing powers

  • Be a part of the Skillseed family; in a quaint office located in the character-filled district of Jalan Besar, a stone’s throw from an abundance of cheap good food and not so cheap cafés. Please note that we are not wheelchair accessible and Jalan Besar in general is extremely hostile to wheelchairs!

Commitment

  • Commitment level: Low-Medium

  • Ad-hoc, estimated 10-15 hours a week

  • Remote working (80%)

  • In person training (20%); Skype sessions are possible but we'll love to spend time with you!

  • Minimum volunteering period of 6 months

Do I fit the bill?

You are:

  • Passionate about videography or cinematography

  • Experienced in video-editing and possess your own video-editing software

  • Keen to share your knowledge and ideas with others

  • Open to collaborative work and feedback (integral value of the Skillseed team!)

  • A decently pleasant person to spend time with :-)

  • Not racist, sexist, bigoted in other ways etc
